Surprise of surprises. Paris Hilton is believed to spend a calm night in the county jail. Though she had to spend the first night without a cellmate in 12-foot-by-8-foot space but she did enjoy her first jail meal: cereal, bread and juice.
At the jail, sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said:
Hilton was easy to work with. Her demeanor was helpful. She was focused and cooperative.
Earlier Hilton did one smart thing to dodge off the paparazzi, when she surrendered to Lynwood jail one day earlier than her actual reporting time. May be for her it is a new stunt to make headlines! She reached the jail a couple of hours later after paying a brief visit to MTV awards ceremony. And during the ceremony she did confide that impending imprisonment makes her jittery.
Then Hilton had said:
I chose to serve her time at a county jail to show that I can do it and I want to be treated like everyone else and if I am going to do the time I am going to do it the right way.
She did even resort to various religions to muster the courage to face the sentence.
Last month Paris was awarded 23 days of imprisonment for alcohol-related reckless-driving and driving with a suspended license.
So far Hilton has managed to conduct herself but would she be able to do the same for the next 22 days?
