Enough already, MSNBC newsreader shreds Hilton script on Live TV
Posted by Paris Hilton in MSNBC, Paris Hilton on June 30, 2007

In a bizarre incidence, a US newsreader refused to read out the news of Paris Hilton’s release from jail and showed her protest by attempting to burn the script live on television.
Mika Brzezinski, co-presenter of MSNBC’s Morning Joe programme, appeared quite uncomfortable when she was asked to read out the story about Paris Hilton’s release from jail ahead of news items on the situation in Iraq. She showed her distaste for Paris’ news by refusing to give it preference over the news on Iraq. Brzezinski, who even tried to burn the script, said:
I hate it and I don’t think it should be our lead. I just don’t believe in covering that story, at least not as the lead story on the newscast, when we have a day like today.
Throughout the programme, Brzezinski was continuously teased by her co-presenters and producers by playing images of Paris being led out of jail, but she was adamant to their demands and ultimately the script was shredded by her.
Brzezinski did her bit by shredding the script, but was her protest justified? I don’t think so. In my opinion, her act turned out as a blessing in disguise for Paris Hilton who walked away with a lot more publicity than she would ever expect from such a show.

Paris vows to never drink and drive
Posted by Paris Hilton in CNN, Larry King, Paris Hilton on June 29, 2007

Paris Hilton, who narrated her “traumatic†jail experience in a recent interview, vowed that she will never ever in her life drink and drive again.
In a detailed interview to CNN’s Larry King, Paris said that she had never expected to get a jail sentence for driving with a suspended license. However, cheering letters of fans and supporters added to Hilton’s strength through the 23 days long jail sentence, which according to her has changed her life and made her more humble.
Being strip searched in the jail, she believes was the most humiliating experience of her life. The jail food called mystery meat, she adds, was pathetic. In the jail, her fellow inmates were quite nice to her, but Hilton still complains of nightmares of somebody breaking into her cell and hurting her.
Although Miss Hilton says that she will party more sensibly and less frequently, it is a wait and watch for her fans, if she is able to stick to her jail term influenced ideas.
Finally, Paris ordeal comes to an end

After spending melodramatic three weeks behind bars Paris Hilton tryst with jail finally came to an end on June 26’s night. The socialite appeared happy and gay. As a matter of fact she was clad in somehow sober and elegant dress, wearing an olive jacket, white shirt and jeans. When she came out there were myriad reporters and photographers, who were vying to take either an exclusive picture or bytes. However, Paris just waved and smiled to the crowd before joining her parents in their SUV. She just said Mom and emotionally hugged her and then quietly zipped off in her chauffeur driven car. And on reaching her mansion a big flower bouquet from one of her secret admirers was waiting for her.
Paris politely refused to comment. May be she is saving her entire jail experience for her $1 million interview. And it would be really interesting to know that what all does she narrate in her so-called interview. Though she has been claiming that her jail experience is a major turning point in her life and its affects would be visible soon and she is no longer the same woman anymore.
Well, Paris is know to make tall claims time and again. And considering her track record she is more likely to forget her promises once again. Ms. Paris just remember that if you have really changed then this time live up to our expectations. And don’t go back to your hedonistic life style.

Paris Hilton feels misused by media
Posted by Paris Hilton in hotel heiress, Paris Hilton on June 25, 2007

Life has changed quite a bit for Paris Hilton, who is all set to be released from the jail soon. The 26 year old hotel heiress told E! News that her “gratitude†has increased manifolds since she has started serving the rigorous jail sentence in the special-needs unit of the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood.
Miss Hilton sounded extraordinarily humble when she said that she is even grateful to have the most basic of needs like those of food and bedding fulfilled. The socialite also revealed that life behind bars was tough and she felt emotionally touched. In the interview Paris was quoted saying,
I am behind glass and I want to give my dad a big hug and they won’t even let me do that. I’m not a criminal, I’m not dangerous. … It’s hard but I’m stronger every day.
The social butterfly who once used to emblazon the party pages of almost all famous glossies feels that her fame has been misused by media, which she thinks has poked fun of her and thoroughly used her social status.
The detailed interview will be aired on E! News on Thursday and Friday.

Paris Hilton to be released on Tuesday
Posted by Paris Hilton in Celebrity, Paris Hilton on June 24, 2007

Authorities in California have confirmed the release date for Paris Hilton. After serving 24 days in the jail, the social butterfly is set to leave jail on Tuesday, 26 June.
The 26-year-old hotel heiress was originally sentenced to 45 days in jail for driving with a suspended license while on probation. She started with her sentence on 3 June, but crowded jail conditions and her good behaviour got her the much needed relief.
Earlier this month she was briefly freed on medical grounds but the court sent her back to jail, and told she would have to serve her full sentence.
Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca, who ordered Paris’ release, had different opinion. He wanted Paris to complete her sentence at home as he felt she was being turned into a ‘criminal justice football’. But Baca’s treatment is questioned by opponents who feel that Paris was given preferential treatment because of her social status.
Mr Baca will appear before the county’s board of supervisors, which is investigating the issue, on Tuesday.
Anyway, Paris Hilton’s fans can take a sigh of relief and thank God for answering their prayers.
Welcome back Paris, we missed you.
Aftermath of jail for Paris Hilton: $1m pay day !
Posted by Paris Hilton in jail, NBC, Paris Hilton, The New York Post on June 23, 2007

Nothing succeeds like success in Hollywood , better still if you are a celebrity in news for wrong reasons.
This is what has happened with Paris Hilton who was all over the place for her infamous jail term. Her first television interview following her release from jail next week is going to get her a whopping $1m if the industry news is to be believed.
NBC, the U.S. based news channel is ready to please her with a staggering amount for her interview. NBC has infact reportedly won a bid which was on a war footing to secure an exclusive chat with the heiress, who is serving a 45-day sentence for driving on a suspended license following a drink driving offence.
The sources in The New York Post said NBC News had willingly promised to pay up to one million dollars (500,000 pounds) for the interview with Miss Hilton, who is due to be released from the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California, on Monday.
While replying to one of the fan mail’s Paris thanked the fan from the core of her heart for being with her “at such a difficult and scary time”. She wrote,
I read your letter and just wanted to thank you for your kind words of love and support,”
The craze to woo her for her maiden interview post jail-term between the TV channels has soared beyond imagination. The fans at large are very sure of one thing. By offering such a whopping amount, half of the battle is already won by means of publicity so far as NBC is concerned. Nevertheless, fans aren’t complaining at all since it would be a icing on the cake for them.

Hilton is winning her fans, answering their letters from jail

It doesn’t matter whether she is shining as a star on the skies of the celebrity circle or if she is sulking behind the gloomy bars of her cell, Paris Hilton knows very well how to keep her charm intact in her fans’ hearts.
Since she began her jail sentence on June 4, Paris has been religiously answering her fanmail. Infact, now she seems more relaxed as she is away from her mandatory party-hopping scene.
Anyways, coming back to the point, Paris is trying to keep herself alive in the hearts of her fans by reaching out to them via letters. E! Online has obtained one such letter which was addressed to an unidentified fan. The letter reads:
I read your letter and just wanted to thank you for your kind words of love and support. The fact that you took time out of your day to write me truly means the world. Especially at such a difficult and scary time in my life. But I am being strong and trying to make the best out of the situation. And the letters I’m receiving really do put a smile on my face as I sit here in my cell, sad and alone.
The letter, imprinted on plain stationery, is signed ‘Love always, Paris Hilton’ with hearts dotting the i’s and “xoxo” under the signature.
And for those who plan to rubbish this as a gimmick, Paris’ rep. has already confirmed the authenticity of the letter saying,
That letter was written by Paris. She’s been trying to respond to her fans as they write, personally.
Now, thats why I like Paris.
Neighbours up in arms against Hilton coming to her L.A. home after release
Posted by Paris Hilton in Home, LAPD, los angeles, Paris Hilton on June 20, 2007

While Paris Hilton is celebrating her last few days at jail, her neighbours are busy planning the most strange reception for her at her Los Angeles home.
Paris Hilton is scheduled to return to her Los Angeles home as she gets out of jail next week. This news has made her neighbours go haywire and they are up in arms against the celebrity staying there and turning the place into a media circus.
According to a spokeswoman for the L.A. City Councilman Jack Weiss, the office had received 50 complaints when Paris was released earlier for a day. The spokeswoman said:
Most concerned noise from the five helicopters that handled the live coverage of her one day at home. Other issues involved overcrowding and space issues, because the street is very narrow, doesn’t have sidewalks and has no parking.

According to Perez Hilton blog, the opposition against Paris is so strong that a couple of neighbors have already started a campaign against her and distributed flyers asking support from the community.
Infact, Paris is proving a pain in the neck for the LAPD Department of Transportation and Department of Street Services as they get prepared to handle the strange situation.
This whole episode proves one thing, and strengthens our belief that Paris Hilton is a celebrity who gets her share of fame without toiling too much.
Thats like Paris Hilton!
