Calling Paris Hilton a ‘fake celebrity,’ Mischa Barton is quick to distance herself from the party socialite.
The actress rubbished claims that she is friends with the hotel heiress, insisting they socialize in different circles.
She told the Daily Record:
Paris and I are not in the same crowd, I don’t know her. ‘It’s strange to me to see the way all the young actresses are lumped together. It’s true that I am friends with Nicole Richie but that’s it.
I think there’s a difference between people who are famous because of the work they do and fake celebrities.
British actress Mischa Barton, 21, is a regular on the New York party circuit. Now that Mischa isn’t hanging with Paris, she’s been spotted all over town with new BFF Kirsten Dunst.
