We all know that Paris Hilton loves boozing but she doesn’t want the same for the animals close to her heart! The socialite has turned her attention to the plight of drunken elephants in India.

The 26-year-old socialite was quoted saying, “The elephants get drunk all the time. It is becoming really dangerous. We need to stop making alcohol available to them.”

Hilton stated these comments after hearing how six wild elephants broke into a farm in the state of Meghalaya and they were electrocuted after drinking supplies of homemade rice beer then uprooting an electricity pole.

And PETA is delighted by Hilton’s concern for animals. Don’t believe me? Read this:

Sangeeta Goswami, head of animal rights group People for Animals, told AP, “I am indeed happy Hilton has taken note of recent incidents of wild elephants in northeast India going berserk.”

Paris these days is too busy raising awareness for several causes such as drunken elephants in India, fashion week in Russia and a promotional FILA campaign in Korea. Hmm! Really she’s got too hectic schedule!
